Dear MTB Fans,
A few days ago the second edition of Beskidy MTB Trophy has finished. Its special value was stated by three elements: participants (13 European, Afriacan and American countries), route (extremely demanding and fascinating), weather (which completely changed the characteristic of Beskidy's tracks)
After this year's edition we can truly state, that Beskidy MTB Trophy is one of the most intensive cycling events in the world. Four days of racing on the boarder of three countries. Almost quarter of thousand kilometers of demanding, mountainous tracks, technical downhills, endless singletracks, steep uphills, mud and "milky" fog. Compilation of those elements made a unique atmosphere of the event. On the other hand, all of them required well preparation of body, soul and equipment of the riders.
I truly admire all of You, who took part in the competition, despite the weather and hard conditions. Those, who showed real stamina and endurance. Congratulations for riders, who have finished the event: for ones - typical race, for others four day long adventure of their live! I would like to thank for participating in our unique event. With taking part, You have confirmed that determination and looking for some kind of special impressions is what characterizes a real mountain biker. Iron will, endurance, aiming the target are the winners' attributes... and only those of You have the "moral law" of finishing Beskidy MTB Trophy!!!
The third edition of the event will be held on 11.06 - 14.06.2009
Registration for the next, four-day-long event starts equally a year before its start! We hope, that the weather will be completely different from the ona, which had welcame us in Istebna this year :-)

11.06.2009 - Polskie Beskidy (Skrzyczne), ok. 50 km
12.06.2009 - Czeskie Beskidy (Javorovy), ok. 75 km
13.06.2009 - Worek Raczański (Wielka Racza i Rycerzowa), ok. 80 km
14.06.2009 - Graniczny Szlak (Stożek i Czantoria), ok. 60 km
W sumie to ok. 265km i 9000 m przewyższenia
Right now we are starting the preparation of next year's event. We're not changing our tune! Beskidy MTB Trophy 2009 will be a typical, mountainous stage race. During four days of racing You will reach several mountain peaks and... experience unforgettable motions! The date and the route's plan is known - let the preparation begin!

The end of May, the heart of the Beskids, picturesque Istebna...
The real challenge for real MTB experts!
We invite you to take part in the competition that will give you a taste of real MTB. Prove yourself, test your level of "know how", compete with other MTB enthusiasts like you. It will not be easy. The thrill-seekers will be satisfied ... every single day. We have prepared for you the race consisting of the 4 stages leading through the most interesting routes and tracks, perfect to practice MTB in still rare in Poland individual formula. The Beskidy MTB Trophy has been planned so as to give the competitors the maximum sensation and satisfaction to practice MTB. It will be the real challenge and adventure in the mountain scenery. The routes and tracks choosen for the race are known to the most experienced riders only.
The Beskidy MTB Trophy is exceptional in the European MTB competition calendar for some reason:
Firstly, this is a stage race in which the final position depends on the results got in all stages.
Secondly, each competitor takes part in the race individually, but the teams will be taken into consideration in the classification (the time results obtained by at least 3 team members).
Thirdly, we facilitate the participation in the event as much as we can- the starting and finishing line of all stages and the main office of the event will be located in Istebna, a mountain resort known for the 3 successful editions of MTB Marathon (www.mtbmarathon.com) in the final in 2006 the legend of MTB - Gary Fisher took part in.
Fourthly, the stages will be led through 3 countries (Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland)
Next, you will have an opportunity to ride on the extraordinary terrain giving lots of satisfaction and guaranteeing the best visual sensation.
And last but not least: the route has been prepared by Bob and Ludmila Damkovy from the Czech Republic and Wieslaw Legierski from Poland- people exploring the Beskids region every day.
These 4 days that we prepared for you will satisfy the hunger of technical downhill rides, fast singletrack and murderous uphills: Malinowska Skała (1152), Skrzyczne (1257), Ostry (1044), Wielka Racza (1236), Magura (1073) ... the real MTB!
